Bolingbrook Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Bolingbrook , Illinois, southwest of Chicago.
Bolingbrook Golf Club first opened for play in July, 2002. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
The course, once an open field, now offers elevated tees, rolling fairways and lakes. Arther Hills has incorporating a series of seven lakes that bring water into play on 14 of the 18 holes, including the inevitable island green - the par three, 156-yard 15th. There is also a 600 yard par-5 that should play with the prevailing wind. The medium sized greens (average 5,500 square feet) are undulating and fast.
Measuring 4,931 yards to 7,104 yards from 5 sets of tees, Bolingbrook Golf Club will prove to be both challenging and fair for players of all abilities.

Excellent course layout in good condition. Greens a little hard but well maintained and putt true. Fairway are generous to hit from the tee. Course is definitely a second shot course. Good length for the par threes. Worth the $55 for a senior rate. Definitely would play again.

Note: the price I paid ($49) was the senior rate. I like this course a lot. It is playable - relatively wide fairways - but there are some hidden hazards. Holes tend to be similar to each other. Greens are in great shape, fairways too. Rough is thick, but we have had a lot of rain recently. White tees are nearly 6,500 yards, silver set is about 5,900; would like to see a combination of silver/white at about 6,250. Clubhouse is terrific and restaurant has great food.

Pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Price includes range balls, cart with GPS, a couple bottles of water in your cart, some complimentary tees, etc. You know. Just a lot of the little things you don't get at your local muni.

The greens were terrible and looked like they had been heavily damaged by past golfers. Doesn't anyone know how to repair a ball mark? The traps were in awful condition and the quality of the sand was poor. I like the layout and the landing areas. It is a course that is fair to average golfers with wide fairways. It can also be challenging to better golfers if played from the back tees. However, the greens were so bad I may never come back. I have played this course many times, but I was completely turned off and embarrassed I brought a customer out here.

The only draw back, for me personally, was the distance traveled and the traffic to and from the city.

For the price I was expecting some memorable holes and layout, but what I got was a blend of similar holes that all seemed to run together. They have their signature island green par 3 but I was not impressed. Conditions were good and the clubhouse beautiful, but the course is bland. There are alot of better courses nearby to be played for a better price.

Tamarack is about 10 minutes away, and is a much better play per dollar.
